Deere & Company: Blockchain based servitization and precision agriculture

Blockchain implementation strategy for Servitization and Precision agriculture.

The project is conducted by UNISCA (at UNIST) and BIG (at UIUC). The project objectives mainly include testing potential role of blockchain for John Deere / Deere & Company and identifying potential competitors.

Blockchain is important for John Deere’s strategy, in the perspective of servitization. It is necessary for JD to adopt Blockchain technology in a way that JD fully realizes its innovation strategies and expands its servitization.
